Francesca Blanchard, SONGS ON AN OVATION (Studio EP)

Gregory Douglass recently recorded & produced Francesca Blanchard's debut EP this past spring called SONGS ON AN OVATION. Though Francesca is still in college, she has a deeply sophisticated sound and hopes to make a career with both her voice and acting. Gregory Douglass, LUCID (Studio Album)

From its initial haunting lullaby, “The Night,” Douglass' first self-produced and recorded album LUCID navigates the listener through a personal journey of unsettling dreams. Douglass states, “In my personal experiences, dreams have been a vital part of self-awareness so I essentially wanted to set ‘a night in the dreams of Gregory Douglass’ to music. This album is the result and it has been a labor of love.” The richly layered harmonies and electronic sounds of artists like Imogen Heap and Death Cab For Cutie merge with Douglass' longtime comparisons to artists like Jeff Buckley and Tori Amos in this latest offering.

Gregory Douglass' evocative, alternative sound "channels everyone from Stevie Wonder to Fiona Apple in a way that's terrifyingly mature for someone so young" according to Instinct Magazine. With eight critically acclaimed, independent CDs under his belt, the Vermont native has shared the stage with artists like They Might Be Giants, Shawn Colvin, The Weepies, Jason Mraz, Regina Spektor and Margaret Cho. Douglass' 2009 release BATTLER features duets with friends and fellow Vermonters Grace Potter (Grace Potter & The Nocturnals/ Hollywood Records) and Anais Mitchell (Righteous Babe Records) and he is currently touring in support of his latest release, LUCID, a dream-themed concept album and homage to his long-time musical mentor, Kate Bush.
